Indigo Herbs Cinnamon Powder is a premium quality spice derived from Cinnamon zeylanicum trees in Sri Lanka. Cinnamon Powder can be added to a variety
of different culinary dishes. This fiery spice is largely used as a culinary ingredient and has varying grades and qualities. Here at Indigo Herbs we have procured
one of the best quality cinnamons available on the market.
½ to 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder can be added to either sweet or savory foods/smoothies. 1 teaspoon equals 2 grams (1 tsp = 2g).
Quality & Manufacture
Indigo Herbs Cinnamon Powder is collected and processed in Sri Lanka. All Cinnamon zeylanicum trees that this bark is collected from come from a plantation
that is cultivated specifically for use as Cinnamon Powder. Once the Cinnamon trees have reached the age of 2 years they are cut to the stump and the stump
covered in soil. The next year the stump will sprout branches that will grow from the stump and it is these branches that are used for cinnamon. The branches
are cut when they have reached the required size and stripped of their outer bark. When left in the sun the inner bark comes apart and curls into quills that is
seen specifically in cinnamon sticks. These quills are then graded into different sizes and qualities before being tested for pollutants and packaged up. This
whole process complies with GMP standards and is quality assured by Indigo Herbs.
