How to make Lobelia Tincture
Lobelia-Cayenne Tincture is a combination of a relaxant herb, lobelia, and a stimulant herb, cayenne. We add cayenne to the lobelia to relax the body without sedating it. It tends to slow down the intensity of the contractions for a couple of hours and then pull the woman into good, effective, active labor. 19th century herbalists added lobelia and cayenne to hot red raspberry leaf tea during labor to expedite the labor and make it more effective.
Indications: hard and/or fast contractions at beginning stages of labor; ineffective contractions at later stages of labor
Directions: 10 – 15 or more drops in a small amount of warm water or juice, as needed. .
Ingredients: Organic or wild-harvested herbs: lobelia aerial parts, cayenne fruit; Other organic ingredients: grain alcohol, apple cider vinegar, purified water, vegetable glycerin
